A Healthy Me

For my entire life I have never really been concerned with eating healthy, dieting, loosing weight, or paying attention to my overall wellness. I've always struggled with being underweight so I figured I could always just eat what I wanted. I have been fortunate in the fact that I have an active lifestyle and a fast metabolism. Now that I have a family of my own I have found myself thinking more and more on the need to have a healthy lifestyle. I am not one to try some crazy gluten free diet or another program that's going to cut things out of my diet completely. I believe in having a balanced diet and consuming the unnecessary things in moderation because every now and then I just have got to have a cheeseburger. I want to not only focus more on nutrition and the things that I eat but on what my family consumes as well. I want to develop healthy habits for all of us so that we can be ready to do the things we enjoy all the time. In order to achieve this I will be focusing not only on nutrition but wellness in general. This includes nutrition, physical health, emotional well-being, and mental confidence. I'll be reading and experimenting with several different things related to wellness and will be using this page as a way to track and record it all. I hope I can inspire my family to head down a path of "A Healthy Me" lifestyle and find the satisfaction that it can bring.
